Kim was selected for inclusion in “Wisconsin Super Lawyers” by Wisconsin Law & Politics, and was voted by his peers to Best Lawyers in America.

A member of the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers, Kim has been a litigator and mediator for thirty years. He specializes in lawsuits involving construction disputes and disputes between business partners in both partnerships and closely-held corporations. He served for twelve years on the Board of Attorneys Professional Responsibility District Nine Committee, and now he represents lawyers in front of the Office of Lawyer Regulation. Kim has handled a large number of jury trials involving business, construction, contract and real estate disputes. He has defended architects, engineers, lawyers, psychologists and other professionals in malpractice and disciplinary proceedings. He has served banks in lender liability cases, bank check matters, and large commercial loan workouts and collections. He enjoys serving as a mediator for complex business and construction disputes.

Kim graduated from Northwestern University in 1970. He then spent four years in the United States Navy, serving as First Lieutenant and Gunnery officer on a ship in South and North Vietnam, Japan and The Phillippines. In 1973 he was named Junior Ship-handler of the Year for the U.S. Seventh Fleet. Kim was a 1977 honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, and named to the legal honor society, Order of the Coif. He has served as an instructor at the UW Law School, teaching trial advocacy, real estate litigation, and Civil Procedure II. He authored the chapter on Jurisdiction in Wisconsin Civil Procedures before Trial. Kim has served on the Board of Directors of Wisconsin Special Olympics, and coached the West Madison Special Olympics soccer team state champions in 1990, 1993 and 1995. He previously served as chairman of a principal selection committee for the Madison Metropolitan School District and has been a seventh grade catechist at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. He is active as a soccer manager for the Madison 56ers soccer club, and loves watching his sons play soccer. He is a fan of the U.S. National, Manchester United and FC Barcelona soccer teams.
